Brazilian CS2 Dream Team - News Flash #11
What would the best possible Brazilian CS2 team look like?
Brazilian talent being split between several orgs is a tail as old as time, with ludicrous buyouts and the recycling of legendary names ultimately stunting the region's growth.
Having said that, the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen was a great event for the South Americans - four Brazilian squads qualified from the Americas RMR and three of them finished in the top 16.
These results further prove that Brazil has so much to give to the Counter-Strike world and they have the players to make at least a stable top-10 team.
So, who would make the ultimate Brazilian dream team in CS2?
biguzera - IGL
It’s a mystery how biguzera wasn’t scooped up by FURIA or a team like Liquid after paiN’s run at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, let alone the Copenhagen Major.
The 27-year-old is not only a great IGL, but he’s one of the best mechanical players in Brazil period.
He even was the highest-rated player of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen Opening Stage, with an astronomical 1.48 rating against formidable European opposition.
His position in our Brazilian super team is the least contested out of the lot, with no Brazilian IGL coming remotely close to his level of output on the server.
KSCERATO - Anchor/Lurker
KSCERATO has been the best Brazilian player ever since FURIA first made it onto the scene in 2019, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Even though FURIA has been in a bit of a rut for some time, there have never been questions regarding KSCERATO’s level, which has remained exceptionally high.
The 24-year-old had a chance to move on from FURIA in late 2023, when Liquid was putting together their new super team, but declined in favor of staying in his comfort zone with his Brazilian mates.
Time will tell if he’ll come to regret that decision. Nevertheless, there is no world, where KSCERATO isn’t one of the first names mentioned in any Brazilian super team conversation.
insani - Aggressive Rifler
While MIBR failed to make it out of the Americas RMR and qualify for the first CS2 Major, they are still among the best Brazilian teams with insani being their star boy.
After being promoted to the main team from MIBR’s academy roster, insani hit it off instantly and it quickly became evident that he’s one to watch for the future of Brazilian CS.
The 20-year-old has some of the sharpest mechanics in the Americas, with his entries often winning MIBR rounds for free.
Given that he still has a ton of untapped potential, he’ll be the perfect candidate to become our Brazilian dream team’s main playmaker.
nqz - AWPer
Although there are other candidates for the sniper role with more experience and maybe a slightly higher level of play right now, nqz’s potential and future growth are what we are banking on with this move.
The 19-year-old has worked well and is continuously improving under biguzera’s leadership in paiN, so he should pick up where he left off in our super team as well.
The only questionable part of his game is his drop-off against higher-level opposition, but hopefully, he would get better with more reps and better players around him.
latto - Support
There are a lot of decent players to choose from in the support role and in my mind, any of latto, lux, exit, and some other players would be formidable fifths in this squad.
latto is my first choice mainly due to his overwhelmingly positive reputation, with CS personalities like YNk and Liquid’s coach zews expressing their admiration for his skills.
In any case, this player should take all the ‘bitch’ roles and do everything in their power to make his teammates shine, be it sacrificing himself or assisting them with utility.
So, there we have it - our CS2 Brazilian Superteam:
biguzera - IGL
KSCERATO - Anchor/Lurker
insani - Aggressive Rifler
nqz - AWPer
latto - Support
